Mr. Ankur Srivastava
Founder & Managing Partner
- Ankur is a member of Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa. He is also a Fellow Member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators, UK, Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB), ICWA (final) exam along with being a Law & Commerce graduate. He is also registered as Insolvency Professional with IBBI.He has more than 27 years of experience in General Corporate Legal Practice, Banking & Insurance Laws, SEBI & Capital Markets, M&A, PE & VC advisory, Stressed Assets, PE Investments and business structuring, Corporate Governance & Fund Administration, Infrastructure, Employment & Property laws and litigation & Arbitration.He uniquely combines his banking and capital market expertise with his legal background and has worked as Legal Head, Company Secretary & Compliance Officer in organization like Union Bank of India, Urban Infrastructure Venture Capital Ltd & RPG group.
He was also knowledge partner of Overseas Indian Facilitation Centre (OIFC), a joint initiative of Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Govt. of India & CII and has been part of high-level business delegation at Indian Diaspora meets organized by OIFC & MEA at Australia, United Kingdom, Bahrain, Dubai etc. He has also been Co-Chairman of Assocham National Council of IBC and is a vivid speaker at various professional conferences.
He is a designated partner in First Light Capital Advisors LLP, investment Manager to Azure Affordable Housing AIF and was director in more than 10 portfolio companies of Urban Infrastructure venture capital fund and had advised Indian Bank Association in formation of National Asset Reconstruction Company Ltd and Indian Debt Resolution Company Ltd (‘Bad Bank’).
As an Insolvency Professional, he has managed/ resolved more than 10 companies with combined debts of more than INR 2000 crores and 1000 employees in diverse sectors such as Sugar, EPC, Food & Processing, Textiles, Power, Real Estate, Manufacturing, Trading etc.
Presently, he is working as Founder & Managing Partner of ‘EZY LAWS’ (since 2011), a legal advisory firm & deals with Banking, Corporate & Capital Market Laws, Insolvency & Corporate structuring, Private Equity, Real Estate, Labour Laws matters, representation before High Court, NCLT, SEBI, SAT, DRT, Enforcement Directorate etc. Ezy Laws has been conferred ‘Rising Star’ by Indian Business Law Journal (2017), ‘Most prominent top 50 consulting Firm’ by Insight Success magazine (2017) & was nominated in ‘Best Law Firm Category (3 years & above)’ by Legal Era (2018).
